our team

Antara Prasad is the founder of Teyaari. Her extensive experience as a management and strategy consultant to leading global Fortune 100 companies and small businesses guide Teyaari to success. Antara has been featured in several national publications and been invited to speak at industry conferences on the importance of the South Asian American consumer. Antara has a bachelors degree in Business Administration from Washington University in St. Louis.

Daniel Ho is the creative force helping to develop Teyaari. His experience with website and graphic design has made Teyaari a well recognized brand. His attention to detail has been invaluable to Teyaari's development. Daniel graduated with a degree in Information Science from Cornell University.

Geetika Prasad has been involved with Teyaari since its inception. Her commitment to grassroot community issues includes volunteering with the AIA, participating in programs with the South Asian Youth Action (SAYA), and helping raise funds to support Asha for Education. Geetika graduated with a degree in Molecular and Cell Biology with a concentration in South Asian Studies from Cornell University, where she was a dancer and board member of the Cornell Bhangra Team.

Divya Sharma brings a refreshing perspective to Teyaari. Based in India, she represents a direct link to South Asia, giving us first-hand knowledge of trends associated with the market there, which will undoubtedly affect the market here. Divya not only cares about promoting her culture through different programs, she also cares about helping others who are less fortunate by volunteering for the National Service Scheme. Divya holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the Isabelle Thoburn College in Lucknow, India. She is currently pursuing an MBA from the University of Lucknow, with a concentration in e-business.

Interns

Brad Sickels is junior pursuing a dual degree in Sociology and Psychology at SUNY Geneseo. He is involved with several organizations on campus including Shakti, Latino Student Association, and the Geneseo Chapter of a multi-cultural service organization called MAC (Men of Action & Change). As co-Captain of the Geneseo Bhangra team, Brad had a chance to choreograph and dance, two of his favorite things to do. To expand his knowledge of other cultures even further, Brad will be studying Black British Literature in London this summer.

Preeti Prasad joined Teyaari as an intern to gain real world experience as she worked toward a degree in Business Management with a minor in International Relations from SUNY Geneseo. In the summer of 2005, she studied abroad in Bangalore, India through an International Business Program, where she did research and had the opportunity to visit executives at many leading companies. Back on her college campus, Preeti was an executive board member of South Asian student organizations including Shakti and Geneseo Bhangra.

Waleed Mahmood is a senior at SUNY Geneseo where he is pursuing a degree in Communication with a concentration in International Relations. Always looking for new and exciting things to do, Waleed keeps himself busy as an EMT medic and a Resident Advisor. He is also the co-President of Shakti, Geneseo's South Asian student organization, for which he has helped organize several multicultural events.
